Solution On Saturn

1. Saturn is a planet that has no solid ground because it’s made of gas. It is covered with clouds so you can’t see what it really looks like on the inside and it does not have any water at all. Saturn is the sixth planet from the sun and the second largest planet within the solar system. Saturn is classified as a giant along with Jupiter, Uranus and Neptune. Together, these four planets are called Gas Giant.

2.My first solution is that I would do is go on Titan, One of Saturn’s Moon. It has oil to generate electricity too. There is no electricity but the electricity is to make oil not to heat stuff up.

3. My second solution is that I would use a device. I will use it to make land on Titan with houses and everything that earth has. It will also have oxygen.

4.My last solution is that a person will be selling oxygen spray so you can live on it forever it will last your whole life.

5. My favourite solution is the the last one because there is a man selling stuff in a suit. I would really be happy I that would happen. That would make life easier, not only for my life but everybodys.

Ice-Cream Comet

Have you ever tried an Ice-Cream Comet ? Rm 13 has tried an Ice - Cream comet and it was delicious .

The Ingredients are Ice-Cream cones, Some Chocolate Ice- Cream, and Hundreds and Thousands with crunched up biscuits to go with the hundreds and thousands.

Rm 13 waited patiently for a Ice-Cream Comet as Miss King had a spoon in her hand and called a group and then another group to come up at a time. When our group was picked Lesieli put a spoon of hundreds and thousands onto our hands then Miss king put Ice-Cream on top of it. It was FREEZING!!!!!!!!!

We had to roll it into a ball.After we finished Whaea Janeille put the cone on top of the Ice-Cream and we flipped over the Cone and it could now be eaten it had different texture on my tongue. My hands were sticky and dripped through my fingers. My stomach was growling fiercely!!!!

Immersion Assembly

I was sitting on the floor in the school hall listening Mr. Burt talk. He introduced the topic to us and I was excited when he said the and it was “ Outta this world “.

Teachers were in Ballerina Tutu’s they had movies for us to enjoy and watch. Team one’s clothes were awsome. My best dressed Team Four.

My favourite Item was Team Five’s version of Star Wars because it looked really funny.

The last item was performed by Team Five The Star Wars movie was like a puppet show except there were cardboard around them and only they have to move only blink and talk at the right.

Sonny Bill Williams

Dangerously Sonny Bill Williams charging across the field, he made a historic try . Stepping & tackling, he was cheered to boost past the oppositions players and score. He scored 15 tries for the team against France.

The Thinking Hats

I enjoyed AFL because I can catch & learn new skills & Badminton

I didn’t enjoy Cross-Crountry because I get tired & get sore Rib’s.

I learnt some new skills at AFL like a hand pass & Drop punt.

Great that we have Netbooks & that it is almost the end the term.

Maths Whizz Because it is hard with the time tables.

I want to improve on listening to the teacher.

Warriors In The GRAND FINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The New Zealand Warriors have won there match’s in the Preliminarily and the Qualifying Finals so they are now in the GRAND FINAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The way that they made it into the GRAND FINAL was that they believed in there team & played well as a team. Super speed stepping & tackling it still was not enough to win.

Alfajorcitos

Que bueno son los alfajorcitos. Muy delicioso.Wow! The alfajorcitos are great. So delicious.
Room 13 made Alfajorcitos on Thursday for a speical treat.

This treat is from Argentina so it would be an Argentinian treat. It was so sticky as well as crunchy. In Argentina so many kids eat would eat lots of Alfajorcitos. Alfajorcitos can be made into lots of layers and layers so it can’t even fit in anyone’s mouth.

Miss King brought some biscuits and jar of Dulce De Leche to school.
Our steps to make them was to get the Dulce de leche from people who have it, spread the Dulce de lecheon biscuits. We squashed the two biscuits together that we grabbed from the biscuit carton, then rolled ithem in the coconut.

Mmmm the Alfajocitos are nice they are my favourite Argentinian treats. I wanted more, but we could only have one. That smell of the Dulce de leche was so great.

Aussie Rules

Wow Guess what? Room 13 went to Aussie rules.

Our Instructors names were Allysa & Megan, after lunch on Thursdays we meet them on the court.

Aucklands weather can be unpredictable. Thursday was windy, then rainy, then fine. The weather keeps on changing CRAZY!!!!! Will it ever stop?

Our Warm up we did is called Jumper Bumper the aim of the game is to bump your partner over while hopping.

Allysa taught us a new skill called a drop punt, you have the ball laces away from your face every time. The other skill is called a hand pass, you have got the ball straight on a hand and the other hand to hit the ball.

It was time for the game called Kick Baseball. The field was in a diamond shape. Your supposed to kick the ball and then use a different ball to get run round the bases. You have to bounce the ball while you're running to the cones & you can’t stop. I only made it to 1 cone because I can’t kick properly.

When the game ended we put the AFL balls away, and then Allysa asked us what the skills we learnt for Aussie rules. It was fun.

Fish and Chips

Rugby, I don’t care about rugby, We watched something else. Me and Sam went to the Takeaway shop. When we got our Fish & Chips we went home to eat it we went to sleep after that. We didn’t need the R.W.C. to have fun.

The Jandel and Buzzybee

Kiaora & welcome to NZ a very unique & special island. There are reasons for this, One is our multicultural population & the other, our isolated geographic location. NZ is filled with treasured kiwiana that we hope to share with you.

The term tiki refers to a carved human figure and was and is part of the Maori and other Pasifka peopless culture. If you look at the tiki you will see greenstone with red, grey and dark blue. The tiki is pre-European.

The jandel that has a strap between the big and second toe. The name is called jandel, The jandel is rubber with a trade mark in NZ 1940 of being easy to put on and sometimes slipped off while you walk with them. These days you get different pairs and sizes!!

Making Pt England Uniform Work Better

Making uniforms better at Pt England is that the colour it’s too red, we need more colors like Rasta or fire colors. The problem is that it is it has a plain color I want to change the way that Pt England’s uniform is designed.

I chose the colours rasta and fire because it seemed kind of a hot color and cold color mixed together to make it into a hot color.


What makes my new design better than the old one is that it has just red not any fun colors that kids would want to wear like a rasta and a fire color with a super fire look it would seem better on kids who are intersted in Frangeypany and rasta or fire with cold colors

Badminton

On Thursday Room 13 went to badminton we sat down on the hall floor Donna (Our coach) showed us how to use a racquet and how to hit a shuttle so we wouldn’t make the shuttle drop off our racquets right after we throw the shuttle up in the air.

After Donna showed us we had a go, Me and Mosa were partners I served Mosa he hit the shuttle back to me and then I said “Great hit” we were still hitting the shuttle after we had finished we did something different one of us from each group had to have a cone and shuttle and the partner had to use there racquet trying to hit the shuttle while the other person in the group, had to try and get the shuttle into the cone.

Donna demonstrated how to get the shuttle into the cone, Uili was chosen to help Donna demonstrate. Uili had his racquet in his hand and Donna had her cone and shuttle in her hand Donna threw her shuttle at Uili and he used his racquet to hit the shuttle then Donna went and caught the shuttle with her cone after Donna said “Room 13 go and try it your selves” then we all did Mosa threw the shuttle to me and then I swung my bat and then I said “Mosa get the shuttle” Then Mosa got the shuttle safely in to the cone.

I felt sweety then it was time to swap so I had the cone and shuttle and he had the racquet I said “Mosa are you ready” and he said “Yes” So I served the shuttle Mosa hit it I almost got the shuttle then Mosa told me “You can try better than that, But nice try anyway Francis” Then I said “Mosa are you ready” and this time I got the shuttle in the cone.

Beep Test

On Monday morning we had a immersion assembly after mornig tea we had a beep test our beep test was on the courtyard, we started with the girls going first then at level 5 stage 5 some of the girls got sent out of the game because some of them wasn't fast enough for level 5 stage 5, the girls at least have to run 20 meters or 10 meters when 5 girls were left when all of the girls got out except for Kashya she was running up and down very fast when she got out on level 9 stage 7 she was puffing hard then she lied on the ground she was very tired then it was the boys turn I survived not long in it I only got out on stage 3 level 4 then the others was getting tired and puffing huh huh then Sosaia said to Iisa on level 13 stage 7 "Wait up Iisa I want to catch up with you on stage 14" Then Sosaia got out.

The Twits

The Twits where the meanist people who you could ever amgine. Mr Twit made circus monkeys hang upside down the monkeys hate Mr Twit but they just have to do it because they where smaller then Mr Twit. Then the Twits always have bird pie every Wednsday. The Twits catch the birds on Tuesdays and one thing that Mr Twit does for a living catch the birds with hugtight glue and Mrs Twit likes to cook them for a living. Then the Roly-Poly bird came swooping down. The Roly-poly bird said “Why are you still in that cage?” Muggle-Wump Replied “Its Mr Twits dream of having his own circus upside down” “Why are there most of the birds not flying around and around here?” The Roly-Poly bird asked “Mr Twits been having bird pie on Wednsdays” Said Muggle-Wump “” “ replied Muggle-Wump the Roly-Poly Bird “Anyway Ill help you Okay". Mr Twit came up with this brliant idea,He said “How about we buy those big shotguns” "We will buy the big shotguns" Mrs Twit replied "Lets go and buy them to shoot them then eat them for Bird pie” “Lets go no time to lose”So Mr Twit said "You Monkeys stand upside down on your head and hands one by one on each !!"

Swimming

Last term room 13 went to the G.I. pools I couldn't do back stroke. It was my turn at backstroke, "I can't do it" I said to myself. But I could do back stroke after awhile. We all had free time afterwards.

Back To The Future

As the wheels screeched, the Delorean pulled out of the driveway. Nervously sitting in the car, Marty said “Hey Doc, we better back up, we don’t have enough road to get to 88?”. Jennifer said nothing, like as if she were a statue. Hugging Marty she was confused. Doc replied, adjusting his goggles “Roads where we’re going we don’t need roads”. Pressing buttons the wheels lifted up and they took off into the future with a blast of fire like a rocket.

Friends Of Wake Forest Univeristy

This is our friend from wake forest university. Her name is Meagan. 9 student teachers came from north carolina Westin-Salem to look at what we did at Pt England And then she going to travel with the 8 others around all of New Zealand. She has to follow a rule book by every page then she has to copy the rules.

Adding Detail to Sentences

We added detail to sentences at the front and the back and we did a funny sentence " Vaifoa Me and you" I whispered to him "sure" He whispered back and so we both made sentences one at a time we shared the one vivid.

The man who invented the spaceship was actually a giraffe who was brainy.
The alien invented the spaceship was with a monkey.
The twin aliens invented the spaceship while chucking rocks.

My Multiplication Picture

We made multiplication pictures because we didn't know that we did multiplication, now that we know our multiplication we can do any multiplication that were asked.

The big oil rig

Once an oil rig came to town. Then the next day a different boat came and try to take it away but then they checked out the truck but it had sunk.

Fantasy Island

Do you imagine your own world? We dreamed of a fantasy island. There was warm sand. Happiness surrounded me.

Swimming Time

As we slipped into the pool we floated like a starfish. Under the sparkly pale water my arms were outstreched. My eyes were stinging red.

Sentence Beginnings

We were learning to use complex sentences in our classroom and also learning to use different beginnings for sentences.
Toreka wrote a teriffic story called "What an ambush" and we copied and pasted her beginnings into "Wordle.net" to see how many different words she used to begin her sentences.

Straw Towers

Room 13 made straw towers to match our topic for term two which is Bigger, Better,Faster,Stronger. We used materials and used lots of thinking too. We used team work to build our creative idea. We organized it all before we got working.The problems we had was sticking the straws with tape.

Glee Performance

Last Friday,at the Assembley we watched the glee performance. The directer Ms M & Ms Lavakul put all of the it together. There was two items going on one after the other. One was different than the other. The items was about Pt England way, some of them had a really bad stage fright but the rest didn’t have stage fright. Lepa did the rap about stop, look & listen and glee did it all for Pt England because they wanted to do it.

Meteor

A meteor came about 11pm yesterday night. Its size is was as big as a desk. Its a brillant blue and white light flashed all over the sky. People at Raglan heard a sonic boom. It illuminated everything in its path.

Capture The Flag

On a sunny day we played capture the flag.It was so hot on Friday I didn't want to play.The team with the bands won we all ready tried stop them to win but we couldn't because there were fast people.

Letter to Christchurch

Dear Everyone in Christchurch
I’m so sorry that your house’s are broken in Christchurch and what you are going through is really sad.

Our hearts are with you where ever you go because we will be with everyone including the injured people.Thank god there was a someone who survived the earthquake. They're lucky they got under something strong before the earthquake happened.

The Earthquake In Christchurch

On Tuesday 22 February 2011, Christchurch was shaken by a 6.3 magnitude earthquake, of 5km depth, at 12:51pm. There are rescue workers helping the people who are trapped under the rubble stay alive and to wait for the ambulance or kind people who lend their truck to use like an ambulance. It might look kind of cool if I was on the truck but it’s just for the people who are hurt.
The earthquakes in September and February are sad for everyone who got hurt in the earthquakes. It is also still really sad for everyone that’s in Christchurch.
This minute onwards we will respect the people by praying and finding money for them all.

Cinderella

One enchanting night Cinderella and Prince Charming danced under the super shinning stars. Prince Charming and Cinderella danced until the full moon.
The busy bustling mice made a pretty pink dress with her two ugly step sister's sowing beads just for Cinderella.

Baseball

On Thursday we played t-ball.There were two groups.The blue team always bats first.And the red group always catch/bowls.After everyone has had there turn batting,when it was Ana`s turn to bat but she got stung by a bee.I was a outfielder.

Netbook day

WOW! it was so amazing to get our netbook.I am exicted to get my netbook.I've wanted a netbook all long since Mr Burt said it on the speakers and now I have one.We just got our netbook in the morning.We had Mr and Mrs burt in the class for instructions.
